【I HAVE A DREAM-BALI 2】 · Gapura in Indonesia is a new word to me, in English we called gate. Before I reached @clubmedbali, I was asking what's the meaning of the symbol of Cub Med Bali. After I reached and saw mostly every buildings or houses have a gate just like the logo of Club Med Bali. Then I just knew that in Bali, there are two types of gates within Balinese architecture: the split gate, known as candi bentar, and the roofed tower gate known as paduraksa or kori agung. Both types of gates have specific roles in Balinese architectural design. In the picture, my daughter tried to use some stacking stones to represent the Balinese gate – Candi Bentar.
